I liked this video because was a very detailed review of what we learned in class. Instead of just listing the causes of the Revolution, it was told as a story. I think it was cute how they wrote the notes on the side. It was a long video but it helped me understand what the French were going through and I now understand why they chose to begin a revolution.

Although the videos were long, it was very informative. It was a great review of what we learned in class and a little more. It really helped me in fully understanding what happened during the French Revolution. However, the most interesting video to me was the Lady Gaga video. It was very enjoyable and educational as well.

In my opionion the video was too detailed and too long. it was supposed to be a review a summary but it was everything we learned in class! great to study from but i almost felt asleep like 8 times. all the people talking in the videos are kind of creepy and he stutters too much i think i was paying me attention to how many words he repeated then what he was actually saying. i must say the notes on the side were a good idea and kept things organized. the video was okay.

I agree 100 percent with rita sharaby this mans voice made me not want to know anything about the French revolution. he made learning so depressing and non enjoyable.the actual topic on how each king ruled really taught me how the times back then were much more self ruling then now. Overall the voice ruined everything but very intresting facts to know about the time back then.

I chose to watch this video after you taught the material because I felt that it would help tie together all of the points you made in class. Tie together is what it did! The colors and unique perspective was totally in sync with the values and concepts you taught us in class. The pictures and explanations identified the concepts of what was the state of the French Revolution. All together the video clarified and even taught me a little of what I had not yet known. It was a very well put review and worth while.

Hi. In my opinion this video was an extremely informative one. A key tool that helped me be able to focus on the information being given was the different colors and vivid pictures that were used throughout. The pictures really gave me a true sense of what actually went on during the French Revolution. In present times, and in our generation, i find it very hard to comprehend all of the discriminatory and biased laws, actions, punishments, and illegalities that were done. This video has showed me what really occured!

I think both videos were informative. The first set of videos was more like a class review, while the last video was a fun overview. The Khan Academy videos were very consistent with the rest of the HW and that helped me with the defining words. Both videos showed how the French Revolution was caused and how it was fought. The French Revolution was caused because of many problems from the past that slowly added up.

this video was very detailed and explained the events leading up to the revolution and the revolution itself. It showed the inequality in France and the king living lavishly while the people were starving. It explained the reasons for the revolution and how it happened. I think it was necessary for the people of France to revolt as they were being mistreated and they saw the americans revolt too.

The situation that led to the France revolution reminds me a lot of the Arab Spring. These contries like Egypt and Syria are ruled by absolute monarches who live in fancy palaces and the people are revolting against the government to get equal rights. In the case of Egypt it worked just like in France.

Louis XV and his wife were completely oblivious to what was occurring under their ruling. They didn't understand the meaning of starvation. They have all the food, clothes and furniture they don't just need but also want. It's as if he didn't rule over France to make reforms for the good of his people and serve them as a good king would do but he ruled for the title of being king, having power and receiving rewards such as money.

The videos helped me understand the events that led up to the french revolution. I found the lady gaga thing to be very funny. It really clarified the old regime. It showed how the third social class was somewhat unequal. It also clarified the events that led up to King Louis XVI's death.

The first video was very detailed and interesting, however on some topics i feel as though there could be some more clarification; for example in the first video when the speaker told us that the people raided the arms cache at the bastille and then killed the mayor of the bastille he then said something quickly about the mayor of paris which i for one did not see a connection to or understand. Over all though they were very good videos.

in the first video they said-the france was poor during 1789 due to the support of the American Revolution. In this time every day people were starving while the nobility were "living it up".The people saw trouble coming there way so they protected themselves by storming the bastille to get weaponry.and the National Assembly came up with the own constitution...Women march forced king to move to paris.king and queen loosing power which led to the death of both of them through many struggles they put on themselves...very useful videos

3 important ideas were that the commoners felt like they should have equal rights for voting since they are 97% of France's population. The commoners wanted to call themselves the national assempbly because they thought the "3rd estate" wasn't good enough since they basically are France. The king called for a meeting with the estates general to talk about the problems they are having in France

Video1: Unlike the American Revolution the French Revolution was an actual overthrowing of a monarchy. The French revolution occurred because the french government was in debt due to there partake in the American Revolution and the Seven Year war. France was so in debt that much of the third estate was starving. However, the clergy and the nobles ate without forethought to the people. Due to the predicament King Louie was forced to call a convocation of the states generals to discuss he problems at hand.

while watching the first video i learned that while the first and second class, clergy and nobility were living the life not paying taxes the people of the state were starving and they were the ones doing all the work and paying the taxes. Because the people weer having all these problems Louie the 16th decided to assemble all social classes at the palace of Versie to discuss each others problems. However nobody was reallyacknowledging the third class. So they all went to the assembly hall and declared themselves the national assembly. When the king heard about this he tried not letting them assemble but they just decided to assemble at an indoor tennis court. Their they procleimed the teh Tennis Court Oath. This stated they are the National Assembly and none of them will back out until a constitution is established. The act that truly ignited the revolution was when the National Assembly stormed the Bastille on July 14v 1789. The Bastille was a fort of millitary supplies and gave the thir dclass a chance to fend off the troops of France.

He shown himself as a young artillery officer, mercilessly driving the British out of the port of Toulon, and got the attention of the upper echelons. When the French republic's government was threatened by a mob, one general recommended that Napoleon be given command of the garrison in Paris. Napoleon's army stood steady with orders not to fire until fired upon. When a weapon was fired from the crowd, Napoleon's troops fired back, dispersing and persuing the mob. The assembly was forever grateful after that, giving Bonaparte greater and greater responsibility, until the army was his instead of the government'. He calls himself first emperor

All five events spoken in the video emphasized the idea the ugly, scary and messy times from 1789-1791. First talked about National Assembly gaining more power and starting to write the constituition and already wrote the declaration of rights of man, which many disagreed with. Secondly was the March of women into the palace of Versailles because they were starving and heard that Marie was storing food. Third was the event that louis and Marie tried escaping from Paris but got caught which really made the ppl more angry. Fourth was the massacre of moris which the National Assembly were accounted for and killed many ppl, which made ppl much more angry. Lastly was the declaration of pillnitz which Prussia and Austria instituted because they were scared that their own ppl will rebel and because king of Austria was Marie's sister and they said if they touch the king and queen they will go to war which they did go to war because the national assembly we're really scared.
