I thought all the videos were a great review, although some of the stuff was new to me. Out of all, I really liked the last one best. It was spoken in simple english and it would pause every so often to allow my head to absorb the information. The last video is for sure a video I watch before a test as a quick review.

The first video was a pretty boring video. However I had received plenty of information out of it. The second really did not entertain or inform me at all. The third video what's the best out of all of them. the third video was the best because it was a little bit funny, a little bit entertaining and very informative. The perfect mix of the educational video.

The third video helped me understand about the social contract. the social contract was John Locke's idea. he saw the way that governments were treating people without a say in things was cruel and unfair. I admire in John Locke that he gave everyone a fair chance to have a say in things and that people should be able to elect who they want as a king. this video really cleared up all of my uncertainties on this topic.

I very much enjoyed the social contract video, because it explained simply how John Locke, a famous enlightenment philosopher, established the social contract. Locke wanted governments to rule in the peoples consent and saying and not in absolute monarchs. If the ruler wasn't doing what the people wanted, the social contract says that the ruler should be overthrown. Locke thought that the idea of absolute monarchy in such governments were cruel and unfair and wanted to put a stop to it by creating the social contract. This video helped me understand Locke's view on absolute monarch governments/ruler.

The Social Contract is different ideas of how the government should be ruling their people. Many Governments did whatever they wanted and didnt give their people a say about anything. Kings would collect taxes and, rather than improve their military, they would spend their taxes on improving something that would affect their personal lives. Because of this issue, Locke created the Social Contract to get acceptions from other people before making final decisions.

If it wasn't for John Locke, Voltaire and Rousseau, our forefathers wouldn't have had a motivation to start up our own country let alone know any ideas of how our government should be made of.

The third video really helped me understand the Social Contract that John Locke created. Locke created this Social Contract because many governments did not listen to their people. The rulers were absolute monarchs and used the taxes to improve their own lives. Locke created this contract because he did not like how the people had no say in their government. Locke's idea was that the ruler should rule based on the people's ideas. The ruler should not be able to make rules without the people agreeing. Locke said if the ruler is not listening to the people the people should vote on a new ruler.

In the Enlightenment Philosophers video, it explains how three different philosophers thought about society during their time period. John Locke was important enough to be mentioned in the Declaration of Independence for his belief in liberty. Voltaire supported John Locke's ideas of liberty and freedom of of religion. His ideas created independence from the church. He had a big influence on the reformation socially and religiously. Rousseau was born in the lower class which made him want to abolish nobility, because he believed everyone was born equal. These thoughts have not only affected their time, but also today, we use their ideas in the U.S.

I really enjoyed the third video because it helped me understand the social contract method very well in a short amount of time. This video showed how it's not fair for people to fight wars if they didn't want to. This is why John Locke established the Social Contract. I agree with John Locke's opinion on the social contract. He explained how the government didn't really give people a say in anything. His intentions were to get the people to agree on rules before they were made.

The third video showed John Locke's view on the government. Locke made the social contract. In his time the government did whatever they wanted and the people had no say. Government raised taxes. Absolute monarchs would rule without a challenge. They would raise taxes at the end of war and built palaces for themselves. The people who fought in the war paid taxes and their money would go towards the palaces. The social contract stated that a ruler should rule with the consent of the people. Only the rulers that people agree with should rule and if they didn't agree then they should be overthrown.

From that video i learned that the contract John Locke wrote is called the social contract, which i didnt know before. it was also pretty funny how the speaker was being a little sarcastic when talking about how citizens go through hard days of work and then had to pay taxes of large amounts so government could renovate their own palaces, which the people didnt even care about without even having a say in if they were in favor of the taxes.

I watched the third video about John Locke and how his idea of the social contract would really help the people. I agreed on his opinion when he said that the government needs to have the consent of the people in order to rule because before the government did whatever they wanted without the say of the common person, so if the people thought the government was doing the opposite of helping they have a right to get rid of it.

all i got out of the second video was that they rebelled on the king. so i decided to watch the third video. the video says the people had no say in what happened and they can raise taxes whenever they want. In my opinion, that is absurd. each man or women should have equal say and the people should have a say in what is going to occur in their lives. peter the great does not come up in this video, but it may slightly relate to how he treated his people. he was an absolute monarch which meant that he had full control and decided all of the rules. punishment for his people were what he decided on the spot and that is similar to the social contract

I really liked the third video it really helped me understand the social contract. I learned that the rulers collected all the tax money and used it to help themselves instead of using it to help the people.

I watched the third video and it was really easy to understand. now i understand the social contract. i think that john locke was right when he said he wants to ask the common people what they think too. unlike the other monarchs.

The third video was the easiest way to understand how John Locke came up with the idea of social contract. The video talked about how John Locke came up with his idea of social contract and how he also put it into control.

I watched the third video. In that video they discussed absolute monarchy where the people had no say what so ever and the government was able to raise taxes when they wanted to.

I watched the third video. This video spoke about the social contract. I felt like the way John Locke was portrayed in the video really made it easy to understand and humorous too! This video overall showed how John Locke believed that people have the say in who should be governing them. I agree with John Locke. The common man is the one who should decide who their ruler is. When absolute rulers have to much power it can have an extremely negative effect on the people.

I watched the third video. It featured John Locke and spoke about the social contract. John Locke talked about how the government was making the people do whatever they wanted, and the people had no say! The main idea of the social contract is that rulers should rule with the consent of the people. Only the Monarchs that's the people agree with should rule, and if the ruler isn't doing what the people want he should be kicked out.

I watched the third video. This video has John Locke speak about his ideas including the social contract. Locke believes that rulers should only have power with the consent of people which is an idea mentioned in the social contract. Before the Social Contract was introduced, rulers had full control over people that didn't really have a say. Absolute Monarchs were the rulers and they had full control. They would raise taxes when wanted, weren't challenged at all and killed people. John Locke was really against absolute monarchy and believe that If someone didn't like their ruler they had a say and might have a chance to get the ruler out of the government. This video really Impacted my knowledge on this topic and I hope to learn more about it In the future.

The third video clearly shows how Locke came up with the social contract. It is interesting to see how a ruler is willing to give the people power as well.
